Meet Venessa

Pastor, educational administrator, entrepreneur, author, leadership and empowerment coach, workshop host, mom, wife and motivational speaker

Venessa Barrett founded Women Igniting Fire, a women’s empowerment non-profit with a presence on various social media platforms impacting women worldwide. She hosts a podcast bearing the name of the ministry. This ministry expands to women in Africa, the Caribbean, the United States, and the UK. She is the author of a women’s guided journal and an experienced education administrator with over 16 years in education. She is pursuing her doctorate in Leadership and has a Masters in Educational Leadership. She is an ordained elder and pastor, mother of three, and wife to her husband Maurice of 18 years.

She is an experienced leadership and empowerment coach. She helps women overcome barriers to success by exploring their self-limiting beliefs and what really holds them back from the success they desire. For many years, Venessa has been providing counsel to young women. She has helped women gain clarity about who they are and what they are called to do. She has helped them to create success plans that guide success in their lives and make an impact in the lives of others.

She is the CEO of Shirtz ‘n’ Perks, a personalization and apparel company, owner of an Etsy shop, and a party rental equipment business, a group home for the elderly as she believes in having multiple streams of income. Through Women Igniting Fire, Venessa has helped women start their own businesses, become authors, increase their confidence to attain jobs, grow spiritually with their relationship with the Lord, and so much more. She believes women understand each other and should be there for one another.
